Laurent-Perrier Alexandra Rose 2004 - Gift Boxed
Laurent-Perrier Alexandra Rose 2004 - Gift Boxed
96 Points - Vinous.com. In a pivotal moment of celebration, dating back to the 1987 vintage, Laurent-Perrier, revered as the non-vintage rosé champagne category's ultimate benchmark, sought to transcend its own excellence. This pursuit of perfection gave rise to the exquisite Alexandra Rosé Millésimé. This rare and coveted wine is the culmination of a meticulous selection process and crafted from the most exceptional Pinot Noir Grands Crus and Chardonnay plots. It all began as a tribute to owner Bernard de Nonancourt's eldest daughter's marriage and has since evolved into an exceptional union of tradition and innovation of which only 7 vintages have been released since its launch in 1987.
Assemblage

The selection of plots and vineyards for the perfectly ripe Chardonnay and Pinot Noir was extremely strict. During the Pinot Noir maceration, 20% Chardonnay is added.

96 Points - Vinous.com
"Tasted from magnum, the 2004 Grande Cuvée Rosé Alexandra, Laurent-Perrier’s flagship Rosé is a blend of 80% Pinot Noir (on the skins) and 20% Chardonnay vinified together that has only been bottled seven times since 1982. From the very first taste, the 2004 is utterly spectacular. Rich, ample and vertical in feel, the 2004 is dazzling. Dried rose petal, star anise, tobacco, dried flowers, red berry fruit and earthy notes all grace this utterly exquisite Champagne. As good as the 2004 is today – and it is fabulous – it will be even better in another few years’ time. The 2004 has been nothing short of magnificent on both occasions I have tasted it so far."
95 Points - bettane et desseauve
"Beautifully amber for its age, warm with macerated fruit and orange citrus peel, the refinement is offered in marine freshness with a subtle hidden smokiness. We push the door of the florist when the red flowers emanate. The palate faithfully translates this floral eminence, the elegance with the right precision of a fatty, oily and deliciously sublime finish."
95 Points - Wine Enthusiast
"First produced in the 1987 vintage to celebrate the marriage of owner Bernard de Nonancourt's eldest daughter, this bottling is now mature. Ripe, it still retains plenty of red fruits while also allowing the toasty character to show through. It's a rosé that calls for food, a rich and balanced wine that is just perfect to drink now."
